The opening of the new lab was marked by a traditional ribbon-cutting ceremony, celebrating a significant milestone in the company’s journey toward decarbonize the cities of Europe with heat pumps. Fredrik Rosenqvist, CEO, Helene Carlström, Head of R&D, László Jávorka, Head of the lab, Péter Marozsán, head of product development in Hungary and Federico Rosales, COO was a part of cutting the ribbon to the new test lab.
A new research and development lab has officially opened at the company’s factory in Nyíregyháza in Hungary. The inauguration ceremony was attended by the board of directors that includes chairman Mats Leifland, Per Colleen, Mats Rahmström, Karin Jarl Månsson, Erik Ekfeldt and Malin Carlström. The company has ambitious plans for the factory in Nyíregyháza, that will have an initial capacity of more than 300 000 heat pumps per year.
The newly established test-lab will provide a professional environment for testing the heat pumps, conducted by a team of highly skilled engineers. This facility is designed to enhance the company’s research capabilities and ensure that the products meet the highest standards of performance and efficiency.

The R&D lab will focus on rigorous testing protocols, allowing for comprehensive evaluations of heat pumps. This initiative is part of the company’s broader strategy to innovate and improve the product offerings, ensuring that the evolving needs of the customers and the markets are met.
As the company moves forward, the insights gained from this lab will play a crucial role in the development of the mass production capabilities.
