Swedish heat pump and energy system company Qvantum has now set up yet another subsidiary in Europe. The latest addition is the Lyon-based company Qvantum Energy Technology SAS.
Qvantum continues to expand its operations in Europe. After setting up companies in the UK, Germany, the Netherlands, Poland, and Hungary, the time has now come for France.
“France is a very important and interesting market for us,” says Jesper Jarnhäll, head of commercial at Qvantum. “Both for our products for one-family houses and for our system solutions. France has a strong district heating culture, making it easy for people to embrace our ideas on low-temperature grids.”
Christian Blanc, who has a long background in leading positions in the French heat pump industry, has joined the company as a senior advisor. He says heat pumps combining heating and cooling from one appliance are perfect for the country.
“We have already begun to set up a network of distributors for our heat pumps. We look for distributors with a strong local presence and a technical mindset. Qvantum’s products are smart and different, and we want sales staff who can explain the clever ideas well. We also want companies with strong pre-sale and after-sale support.”
Christian also sees big potential in Qvantum’s ambient loop systems and the company’s apartment heat pump.
“The trend away from gas burners is very strong, and we are in dialogue with the big French energy companies. They have an understanding of hot district heating and really see the potential in our low-temperature systems with decentralized production of both heating and cooling.”
